The paintings currently on this site are recent ones completed between
1999 - 2000.

The series are painted on heavy paper in watercolour, pure pigment, inks and
dyes. Both paper and pigments are of the highest quality with an assured quality
of colour fastness. They should
not however, be hung in direct sunlight and
never under non reflective glass.

Each painting is a kind of icon study, featuring an animal, insect, bird or flower.
In addition to the representation of a living thing (or two), there are fragments of
landscape; abstract realisations of clouds and the movement of air; fragments
of texts from my notebooks and
musical notations which are inspired by the
voices of the animals or of the landscape in which they live.
